Plan Your Vacation by Eating Challenges!!

Great list which I get from a Darren Rovell tweet. Would love to try the Slider Challenge when I am in Arizona next week, but it is definitely not Atkins-friendly. Depending on how hot the wings are in the Wing King Challenge at West End Tavern in Boulder Colorado, I really believe I can do 50 wings in 30 minutes. Then again, as much as I like wings, it might be too much of a good thing. Variety is important.
Maybe when I visit TEG for the White Sox-Rox, we can make a visit. If nothing else, TEG and Willie might get a chance to see me vomit!
BTW, I have never been to the two Chicago restaurants mentioned.

CHRIS BOSH SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I got home last night from the UC, I got down on my knees and thanked God that the Bulls got Carlos Boozer instead of Chris Bosh (and then I watched the Nuggets beat the Celtics-sweet!).
Bosh- talk about a soft big man, who flops and whines and you got Bosh ("Bosh Spice"). Bosh had one more field goal than you and I did last night. Stat: 1 of 18 from the field. Apparently the worst shooting night in the NBA in 20 years (since Tim Hardaway!).
Miami's Big Three!!? I think not, my friend.

Nets- Jazz Trade

I personally don't think this is as one-sided in favor of the Nets as some people do. But, I admit I don't know that much about the NBA. I do know some things, like that Selita Ebanks is hot, even when she is playing a Phoenix! But hopefully, some day I can get season tickets to a shitty NBA team and also be an NBA expert.

Until then I will have to just guess and rely on other like Zach Lowe of Si.com..
This is a very good trade for the Nets and pretty much a "no-brainer"for the Nets, but....
1. There is no guarantee that Deron Williams will sign with the Nets. There are already reports that he is not happy with the trade. He wants to play for the Knicks (but the Knicks might go after CP3), so if the Nets don't sign him, he could be gone after next season.
2. Devin Harris, Derek Favors and two first round picks is not bad for the Jazz.

From Zach Lowe of Si.com:
The Nets are giving up a lot, but Williams is a guy for whom you give a lot — provided you are sure you can re-sign him. Favors, a 19-year-old power forward learning on the job, is a potential stud. He is rebounding well (particularly on offense), playing hard on defense and picking up the nuances of the pick-and-roll on offense. There is enormous potential here.

Harris is a loss, but not a significant one long term. He’s about to turn 28, he has never developed a three-point shot and he’s due about $18 million over the next two seasons. He’s a nice player — a good defender when he cares, and a creative shot-maker whose passing is underrated. But you give up him in a second for Williams, even if you’re only 50 percent sure you can sign Williams to a new deal to kick in after 2012-2013.

About that extension: Williams signed his most recent contract extension (a three-year deal, with a player option for a fourth year) on July 17, 2008, according to Pro Sports Transactions and news archives. According to Larry Coon’s salary cap guide, Williams would not be eligible to sign an extension until exactly three years later — July 17 of this year. The current collective bargaining agreement expires by then, which means the Nets — if I’m reading things right, and Coon confirm I am — cannot sign Williams to an extension under the current CBA. Which means whatever extension Williams gets will come under a new CBA, which is expected to be less friendly to players.
In other words: This does not appear to be a case in which the Nets are getting Williams with a mutual understanding that they can get him a Carmelo-type, big-money extension now.
Whatever. This is a great trade for New Jersey
.

So there you have it. I will go back to writing about stuff I know about. Those SI Swimsuit models are hot.

Nuggets- No Carmelo. No Chancey. No Problem.

1. TEG believes in Guardian Angels (or at the very least, he's a fan of egotastic.com). In any case, his guardian angels were looking over the depleted roster of the Nuggets last night. Will this continue? Who knows, but I am sure that Denver fans will be hoping that the guardian angels will be protecting Knicks' opponents for the next few games.

2. Wondering what Deron Williams thinks of all this CP3 to New York talk. Holy crap, what if he has to stay in Salt Lake City.

3. Have the Utah Jazz won a game since Jerry Sloan retired?

4. Noah returns today agaisnt the Raptors. Get to see Noah and the Bulls agaisnt the SOuth Beach 3 tomorrow night!

Dusty Baker...Takes A Dump On the Cubs

Dusty Baker makes a claim that someone would do a vile act in the Cubs dugout during his final days as Cubs' manager.

Remember Cubs' fans, Dusty took the Cubbies to the NLCS and the brink of a World Series berth. Sweet Lou never won a postseason game with the Cubbies.

If You Are A Fan Of A "Small-Market" BB Team,

then you should get on your knees and thank Kenny Williams for his comments. $30 million a year for one player, no matter if his name is Albert Pujols, is NOT good for baseball. Thirty Million a year- that would have been what, half of the payroll for the entire Florida Marlins last season?

Tigers' Miquel Cabera Not Exactly Reporting To Spring Training

arrested for DUI and resisting arrest. When I heard the story I thought the worst part was the resisting arrest. But, it gets better, Cabera allegedly took a swig of scotch in front of the cops.
On the same day that White Sox catchers and pitchers report to spring training, this ain't good news for the Detroit Tigers.

More Trouble For Art Schlichter

For those of you too young to remember Art Schlichter was a great college qb at Ohio State. I believe that his best season was his sophomore season where he came within a 1 point Rose Bowl defeat to leading OSU to the National Championship. He was the 4th player picked in the draft by the Colts. But life was mostly been arrests and prison since then.

College Hoops, Baby!!

I know some of you are suffering from NFL withdrawal (better hope you don't have to get used to that during a labor lockout), but college hoops has filled the gap very well for me. Of course, DUKE beating Carolina helped, but this weekend featured Wisconsin beating OSU (OSU losing a 14 point lead in the second half-bad), Nova-Pitt, and Kentucky-Vandy.

If time permits, I will have some thoughts on Illini hoops, the top 25, and college coaches.
